Yes, I can appreciate how your family must feel when so much work carried out by Bob, Ralph and Edwin is unknown and presumably lost.

I do know that Ralph handled miniatures on alot of Fox films, such as DRAGONWYCK in the mid 40's under Fred Sersen, in addition to being a first rate matte glass artist on many shows, mostly, as I understand it, at Fox.

Sadly I know nothing about Edwin and should you care to contact me personally I'd be thrilled to 'squeeze you' for info on the "Hammeras boys". It's so important that we keep the achievements of these fellows alive, even so many decades down the track.

Regards

PeterNZPetehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13863364769084676156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7063592677187148799.post-64635723694410401092010-12-09T00:06:26.851+13:002010-12-09T00:06:26.851+13:00Thanks for posting this. My Grandfather Edwin Hammeras also worked with Fox for years and it's sad that both of them did so much work and it's largely uncredited so we don't even know what films our family may have worked on.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
